Tripura CM Supports Commonwealth Games Medallist Asmita Dey

Chief Minister Manik Saha recently honored Commonwealth Games gold medallist Asmita Dey by presenting her with Rs 10 lakh and allotting land in Agartala for constructing a house. Asmita Dey, noted for becoming India’s first gold-winning judoka at the Commonwealth Games, was acknowledged for her resilience in overcoming various challenges on her path to success.

Saha encouraged Dey to maintain her focus and discipline while aiming for further success at the upcoming Asian Games. Asmita began her judo training at a center in Belonia, located in South Tripura district, before advancing to the Sports School in Agartala, where she continued to hone her skills.
