Seven Workers Abducted in Armed Raid at Balochistan Mining Site
Seven miners were kidnapped by armed men during a raid at a private copper mine in Chagai, Balochistan.

On Wednesday, a group of armed men abducted seven workers from a private copper mining site in the Mahian Kaur area of Chagai district, according to officials. The miners were taken hostage at gunpoint by approximately eight armed individuals who arrived on motorcycles and entered the miners’ camp.
The attack occurred in the early hours and lasted for about seven hours. During this time, the assailants also collected various items from the site, including mining equipment and weapons taken from the guards.
The private mine is located approximately 18 kilometres west of Chagai town. Local authorities have been informed, and investigations are reportedly underway.
