Senators Allocated P500 Million Each for Leadership Funds
All senators for 2024 received at least P500 million for priority projects, according to former DPWH chief Manuel Bonoan's testimony.
Manuel Bonoan, the former chief of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH), testified before the Sandiganbayan Third Division that every senator for 2024 has access to at least P500 million in what are termed ‘leadership funds’.
These funds are allocated for senators' priority projects and form part of the DPWH budget for the 2025 fiscal year.
