The inquiry focuses on the unlawful use of students' data amid growing concerns over data privacy in Nigeria.
According to NDPC, this investigation reflects an ongoing effort to enforce compliance with data protection regulations among educational institutions and other organizations handling personal data.
The NDPC has also issued a warning to Nigerian tertiary institutions, urging them to adhere to existing data protection compliance directives to avoid future liabilities.
