ICE plans to invest in electric shock gloves for migrants

The federal immigration agency ICE plans to invest up to $20 million in a new device known as G.L.O.V.E., which allows agents to deliver electric shocks through gloves. Reportedly, this equipment would be activated by a button, causing painful electric shocks to those whom agents attempt to subdue.

The manufacturers of G.L.O.V.E. have clarified that it is not a weapon, comparing the effect of the electric shock to that of a bee sting. Despite this, the implementation of this device has sparked controversy among human rights advocates and organizations that support migrants.
