Etna lava descends to 1,300 meters
The eruption of the volcano continues and Catania airport remains closed until tomorrow.

The eruption of Etna continues, with the lava front descending to a height of 1,300 meters, causing fires in some areas of vegetation. This volcanic activity has attracted numerous curious onlookers and enthusiasts to the area.
Stefano Branca, the director of the Volcanoes Department at the INGV Etna Observatory, stated that it is impossible to predict when this eruption will end. Additionally, due to winds blowing southward, Catania Fontanarossa Airport will remain closed at least until 8 a.m. tomorrow, August 14.
