Environmental Fund allocates an additional 4 million for land cleanup

The reprogramming of the Environmental Fund foresees the allocation of an additional 4 million euros for land cleanup in various areas. Guimarães and Celorico da Beira have been included in the urban regeneration program, which aims to recover and preserve the environment.

Part of this funding will be allocated to Mata da Margaraça, which suffered significant damage due to a fire in 2025. The recovery of this area will receive half a million euros to restore ecosystems and clean the affected lands.

Investment in the Environmental Fund reflects a continuous effort to promote environmental sustainability and recover devastated areas, contributing to the improvement of both urban and rural environments.
