EBU excludes conflict countries as hosts for Eurovision Song Contest
The EBU has announced that future host countries for the Eurovision Song Contest must not be conflict nations to ensure fans' safety.

The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) has issued new guidelines for the venues of the Eurovision Song Contest (ESC). Accordingly, host countries must not be located in conflict areas to guarantee the safety of participating fans and artists from the outset.
One example is Israel, which placed second at the ESC in Vienna. Had Israel won, it would have been considered as a host, but due to the new regulation, hosting in conflict zones is now explicitly excluded.
