The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) reported a recurring net profit of R$ 9.2 billion in the first half of this year, according to information released on Wednesday (12). This result represents a 25% increase compared to the same period last year.

Recurring profit excludes extraordinary factors that are not expected to recur, providing a clearer view of the institution's financial performance. Over the past 12 months, recurring profit totaled R$ 17.1 billion, marking a historic record for BNDES.

This annual profit increase has been reported by both Folha de S.Paulo and CNN Brasil, both highlighting the importance of these results for the institution. The bank's performance reflects its trajectory and impact on the country's economic development.
