Art theft in Salzburg: 210 golden Mozart figures stolen

In Salzburg, the organizers of the art installation commemorating the 270th birthday of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart had to abruptly end the exhibition. According to reports, 210 golden figures of the composer were stolen from the Mirabell Gardens, which is being viewed as an organized theft.

The damage is estimated at around 20,000 euros. The artist has pointed out the difficulty of sourcing replacements for the stolen figures, which complicates the exhibition further.
