Opposition leader Rahul Gandhi, however, declined Shah's offer, asserting that the opposition is not interested in receiving lectures from the Home Minister. Gandhi criticized the government's handling of the protests and demanded accountability for the alleged police actions.

Additionally, the Lok Sabha Speaker intervened, stating it is not appropriate to tarnish the image of the House. This remark followed protests by opposition members, which led to the adjournment of the House until 2 p.m. today.
